Shoes for Plantar Fasciitis When you are suffering from plantar fasciitis, you may experience great relief by using orthotics. Plantar fasciitis can be reduced when your feet are properly supported. Orthotic inserts can help realign your feet, which can reduce plantar fasciitis due to misalignment. Trusted by Podiatric Specialists The American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) is the leading resource for foot health information, representing 15,000 podiatrists across the U.S. Many Vionic products carry the APMA Seal of Acceptance, which certifies that they are beneficial in promoting foot health. Vionic is one of the few footwear brands with demonstrated ability to provide proper support. First let me say… if you are someone with flat feet, foot issues, or need support from shoes… look no further. These are the slippers your looking for. I have incredibly flat feet. I’ve seen a podiatrist and had custom orthotics made. They have a chart of 0-24 with 24 being the most excessive foot over pronation (aka flat feet.) I am a 23 on that scale. My feet have no arches and require a lot of support. My ankles turn inward due to the lack of arch and causes my foot to splay outward when I walk. Arch support is a must for me to be pain free. I have custom orthotics which I wear in my sneakers, but I have all hardwood floors in my home and it’s become painful to walk around barefoot. Rather then wearing sneakers inside my home all day I decided to give these a try as recommended my podiatrist and physical therapist. They’ve worked out really well and helped support my flat feet in my house. This Vionic brand is the only brand with true arch support. Ive tried cheaper no name brands off Amazon that boast they have arch support. But what came were flimsy insoles that squished down under the weight of my feet providing no support. But Vionics have a firm arch support that doesn’t bend or give under the weight of your body. Thus they do what they should and provide support to your feet. They do take some getting used to. The first day I only wore them for an hour or two at a time to allow my feet to adjust. The next day a few more hours until I was at the point where they felt totally comfortable. These Cedar Lynez slippers are closed back which I really like because it helps prevent my feet from slipping out when I walk. This style does not have an adjustable Velcro strap like the Indulge Jackie but it’s got a shorter top area which allows your foot to easily slip in. The bottom has non skid tread and the inside has an incredibly warm Sherpa material that keeps my feet really warm. This style is very similar to the Jackie Indulge but it’s much lighter weight and sleeker. It doesn’t feel as clunky as the Jackie slipper does. However this shoe did have less rigid arch support then the Jackie. It’s supportive without being too stiff. As far as sizing I am an 8.5 and that size fit me well. This was the only Vionic slipper I tried that offered half sizes which is really nice. I hope this helps anyone out there with similar issues!I have a very narrow foot ... very narrow heel so that every slipper I buy fit okay until they stretch then they slip off my feet. I am 77 I cannot have slippers that fall off my feet. So, I bought these a few months ago. They fit perfectly but, of course, when I got them and tried them the slipper was loose at the. heel. I decided to keep them anyway, I was desparate and put into the slipper a small felt pad on the heel cup that bought on line to tighten up the slipper, and now these slippers are perfect. So comfortable that I find myself wearing them out of the house, I forget I am even wearing the,. I love them and intend to buy another pair.Love the slipper and arch support. However as many other reviews stated foot comes up from the slipper which drives me crazy. I have a wide front foot and narrow heel. Slipper needs an elastic back or something. I was going to return but I ordered some heel supports to see if they help because otherwise I love the slippers. Too bad they didn’t have a Velcro strap on it. I should suggest to Vionicfit loose. unless you have a wide foot; the shoe will not stay on your heel when you walk.heel slips out---Great slippers, but unfortunately I had to return them because my heel slipped out, in two different sizes. This is a nice slipper though I did half size up to wear with socks in the winter. The arch support is not as supportive as in the "Indulge mule" but the insole does easily remove so can be replaced with my own orthotic should I find it necessary. It is not too tight across the arch for me as some reviewers noted. All in all, I would buy the slipper again. These are my 2nd pair of the exact same slippers. I wear them all the time around the house. The lining is so soft, nice arch support and I love the look of them. These were comfy and good quality, and I could have worn them, but there is not enough arch support versus other Vionics slippers I’ve had and the size was way too big versus standard sizing (maybe a whole size bigger). Shame because I liked them but they missed the main purpose of supporting my arches.I bought the bionic Lynn’s slipper. They are very smart. I normally wear a 7 ((UK) standard width. The slipper is a little narrow and tight all round. I’ve been wearing them with socks to try to stretch them and I think I’m winning. Once the lovely cosy fur inside has flattened I think they will be just perfect.I have bought vionic slippers before, no more pain from plantar fasciatis!I've been wearing these slippers for nearly a week now and have already seen a big improvement in my plantar fasciitis. It took me a while to see the importance of spending a little more on slippers, but it has been worth it. The quality and construction are good, the product arrived early, and the seller monitored the import fees (I live in Canada and the product was shipped from the US) and refunded me a balance owing before the product arrived.A bit expensive, but worth every penny. So warm and cozy. Fit a titch on the large size. Usually take size 8 in vionic sandals so ordered size 8 but 7 1/2 would have been a perfect fit. Will definitely order again.
