Since having knee replacement six years ago I wear only Vionic shoes or shoes (usually Clarks) with Vionic inserts. I chose this pair and the Splendid midi to try for fall and winter. I ordered my usual size of 9.5 Medium in black. These two pair of shoes which ran about $250 for both pair arrived packaged in a bag together. Both boxes were crushed and had to be taped back togerther to return. However, my shoes appeared to be in good condition. When I took the Lindin shoe out of the plastic bag I was stunned to find that the inner footbed was not removeable. Over the past six years this is the first pair of shoes that have not had a removeable inner footbede. I was VERY disappointed. One of the things I depend on is a removeable footbed so that I can use it in other shoes. The shoes are very expensive and I look at these footbeds as a good investment so it can be reused. I may return these shoes for no other reason. In regard to the footbed I will also point out that the footbed is lined with a fabric that is very light beige and is heavily textured. The light beige will be discolored easily and the textured material feels weird on a bare foot. The shoe appears well made and I like that the elastic area is not too tight. I have bone spurs on the top of both feet but still it was not too tight. The sole flares out at the bottom and I am concerned it will cause me to trip. I have a narrow foot and found this shoe protruded outward midway the outer side of each foot. While the shoe is roomy enough to wear a thin sock I believe this will be unsightly. Also, in regard to the arch support. In my opinion it is not as supportive as other Vionic shoes I am accustomed to wearing. All in all, I am unsure about this shoe and whether I will keep it. I plan on trying it on in front of a mirror and deciding after seeing how it looks with slacks and skirts for fall.UPDATE: These shoes make a noise with every step you take. Sounds like a whoosh of air with every step. Returning.
