Vionic Women's Mara Slip-On Loafers - Comfortable Orthotic Support Shoes for Women - Perfect for Work, Travel & Everyday Wear

When I first took them out of the box, the right boot was too tight on my bunion but the left foot felt fine. I used the hairdryer method where you put on thick socks and hit the area that's tight with the hairdryer until the leather feels good and hot/warm and walk around for a bit. The right bunion never bothered me again and now I have a pair of very comfortable and beautiful boots.Oh - I wanted to love these shoes. They are so cute! The Vionic brand has such great arch support - but I had issues with the fit of these booties. I'm usually an 8.5 or 9. I bought them in a 9 and they fit well - except the heel area was so loose I had way too much movement in my foot - it felt like I'd end up with blisters if I walked in them for an amount of time. I sent them back and ordered an 8.5. The 8.5 wasn't big enough for me. Sadly - I had to send them back as well. These are such a good price and such cute booties - if they fit you you will have a great pair of shoes.As soon as I put them on, it felt so comfortable. The item description didn't mention the arch support. I was pleasantly surprised, though. I knew that these new boots were a keeper. I have high arches so I need the arch support. I've worn them twice since receiving them. I wore them at work, all day, a little bit stiff on one of my ankles, but it's a usual thing sometimes with new boots. I wore them again for work yesterday, but my ankle didn't feel sore this time. And before I settled in at home, I took my dog for a community-round walk, which is what we do, everyday, our long walk. And they were just as comfy, on our walk, as they were at work, all day. I love the brand and I am considering ditching my other brands of boots and purchasing all boots by Vionic.Only 3 stars because they run narrow not because of quality. Nice looking high quality genuine leather boots with really good arch support, however like other reviewers posted they run small/narrow. The heel area was fine but they were too short and uncomfortably tight across the toe box. I always wear a size 8 in Vionic sandals and 8.5 in most other brands. I think a size 9 might have fit but 8.5 was the largest size available so they are being returned. One other comment - they are stretchy in the back so they don't fit snugly around the ankle and gap open somewhat at the top in front. Enough of a gap that I could easily slide my whole hand into. They would look better if they were tighter around the ankle.With Plantar Fasciitis, I need quite a bit of arch support. IMO, Vionic Tide toe post sandal has the best support. I expect every Vionic shoe to have this type of support. Unfortunately, not all do have that type of support. These boots have a fairly good support in the arch...not as good at the Vionic Tide but good enough for everyday wear. I have not done a tremendous amount of walking in theses...just average working in an office type. They are comfortable....no digging into the ankle with the leather and lots of room in the toe box for thick socks.I am a huge fan of Vionic! I've purchased 4 pairs and LOVE the product. However, this particular style, much as I really like the boot, its so well made, it really runs small. I tried with all my heart to make it work, but my feet were in terrible pain (bunion, toe joints, etc). I am a true 6.5 in a shoe and a 6 in sandals. This 6.5 was too narrow and my big toe was jammed to the end of the boot. Sadly, I must return. I highly recommend this boot, if your foot is the correct size, you'll Love these!I love this boots. It’s comfortable and light. Though it took some time to break them in, but after that they’re comfortable to walk around. It’s well made. They are true to size. This is my every day shoes in UK. With the rain and sometimes muddy side walks the leather is still in good condition. I love the color and the style of it. However, I have low arch feet and I needed a medium arch, thus I didn’t feel this shoes provided enough arch. One can insert their own insoles but it may be a little tight. I’ve worn thin socks which is doable with the insoles in.Nice looking shoe but fit small. I ordered my usual size but would need a half size bigger.Beautiful bootFits small
